Kagari comes from Kira and is wholly devoted to watching over another Ribika named Asato as if he were part of her family. Normally, she comes off very domineering in spite of actually being very generous, but that's only because of her protective nature. A Ribika has cat ears, claw-like nails, and a tail. Ribika come from a heavily forested world, but are themselves quite cultured - clothing, music, all of the trimmings & trappings of civilization which the Ribika called 'Ransen', but they are merely leftovers from another ruined civilization. Something known as "The Void" has started to creep into the world, but little is known about it, especially by Kagari; she is from a village far from any major cities and thus is extremely rural in her mannerisms, culture, way of speaking, and extent of knowledge.

Kagari is of the Touga class - a warrior - and is now the last female in her village. Asato's mother, Kaya, also lived in Kira before she died, but a Meigi - black-eared, cursed Ribika - by the name of Kaltz came and wooed Kaya. Unfortunately, marriages with Meigi are forbidden. When Kaya started to run off with Kaltz, Kagari tried to defend Kaya and left Kira in a huff. The other villagers found out the truth and killed Kaya, making Kaltz so wrought with grief that he turned into a demon. This left baby Asato to be raised by Kagari, who had always thought of Kaya like a sister.

Through the course of the game, when the main character (Konoe) meets up with Asato and takes him away from Kira, Kagari does come to trust Konoe but only grudgingly so; Asato is still like her son and she takes on a demon to try to protect him. She is rumored to have some sort of priestess powers.
